Lesotho Overland – 2 Nights / 3 Days
Day 1: Maseru – Roma – Semonkong
All Meals – Own Cost
After breakfast or pickup from Moshoeshoe I International Airport, we travel to Semonkong via Roma, home of the National University of Lesotho, where we will stop to enjoy a view of the university.
Without spending much time in this small town, we continue along the rugged roads of Lesotho, stopping along the way for scenic photographs as we head to Semonkong, known as “The Place of Smoke.” Semonkong is home to the magnificent Maletsunyane Falls, the highest single-drop waterfall in Southern Africa at 204 meters.
Upon arrival in Semonkong, we enjoy lunch at the lodge. After lunch, we begin a series of outdoor activities, such as visiting Maletsunyane Falls and exploring a local village. Local entertainment, such as a choir performance, can also be arranged.
Overnight at Semonkong Lodge
Day 2: Semonkong – Mohale Dam
Breakfast Included
After breakfast, the group boards the vehicle and begins the journey to Mohale Dam, part of the Lesotho Highlands Water Project. Along the way, we will make frequent stops to take photographs of the spectacular landscapes and mountain passes.
Upon arrival at Mohale Lodge, a delicious lunch will be served before we begin a day filled with adventure and exploration. Activities may include boating (if the boat is operational) and a guided dam tour.
