Day 1: Maseru City Orientation Tour
Pick up at Maseru Airport and enjoy an orientation tour of Maseru City. After the tour, relax and unwind at the hotel for a restful evening.
Day 2: Cultural Journey to Malealea via Morija
After breakfast, the group will take a 45-minute drive to the Morija Museum, where cultural items, historical artifacts, and archives are preserved. The tour will then continue to Malealea, a well-known pony trekking center in Lesotho.
Upon arrival at Malealea, the group will begin the day’s village activities, including visiting a local school and taking a guided walk through the village to interact with residents.
The famous traditional Sangoma (traditional healer/herbalist) will be visited for a consultation experience. The group will also enjoy a pony ride to nearby waterfalls.
In the evening, the local band will entertain the group around a relaxing campfire while dinner is served.
Overnight: Malealea Lodge
Day 3: Semonkong Adventure via Roma
The group will enjoy a hearty breakfast at Malealea Lodge before boarding a 4×4 vehicle and heading to Semonkong, known as “The Place of Smoke.” This area boasts the spectacular Maletsunyane Falls, which thunder from a height of 206 m and are among the highest single-drop waterfalls in Africa.
The journey passes through Lesotho’s rugged mountains with experienced guides.
Upon arrival, the group will take a short walk into the village and participate in outdoor adventures. Basotho ponies will be available to take the group to Maletsunyane Falls across rugged terrain. Guests will have the opportunity to hike to the bottom of the waterfall, where swimming and trout fishing can be enjoyed.
Fresh trout will be served for dinner.
Overnight: Semonkong Lodge
Day 4: Ramabanta Valley & Mohale Dam Experience
After breakfast, depart Semonkong and embark on an off-road adventure through the Ramabanta Valley, including a visit to a Cultural Village.
After this thrilling experience, continue to Mohale Dam (part of the Lesotho Highlands Water Project), where activities such as boating and guided dam tours will be arranged.
Frequent stops along the way allow for photographs of the spectacular mountain landscapes and passes. A delicious lunch will be served at Mohale Lodge before continuing the scenic drive toward Katse Dam.
Relaxed evening, dinner, and overnight stay at Katse Lodge.
Day 5: Katse Dam & Journey to Mokhotlong
Enjoy a hearty breakfast at the lodge before taking a scenic tour of Katse Dam. The views are incredible, with flooded valleys stretching approximately 45 km. Boating and a guided tour of the dam wall and Katse Botanical Garden will be arranged.
In the afternoon, travel along the tarred road to Mokhotlong, home to Thabana Ntlenyana, the highest point in Southern Africa. Mokhotlong is known as one of the most remote towns in Southern Africa.
Experience the dramatic highs and lows of the rugged mountainous terrain.
A warm dinner will be served.

Day 6: Sani Pass & Black Mountain Exploration
Enjoy a hot breakfast at Mokhotlong Hotel before departing for Sani Top. Upon reaching the top of Sani Pass, enjoy lunch at the Highest Pub in Africa – Sani Top Chalet – situated 2,874 meters above sea level.
After lunch, visit a living Basotho village, where an experienced mountain guide will share insights into Lesotho and its resilient mountain communities.
Continue to Black Mountain for a short walk and view Thabana Ntlenyana from a distance.
After a day filled with adventure, relax for the evening.
Overnight: Sani Top Chalet
Day 7: Sehlabathebe National Park Expedition (If Open)
After a good night’s rest and a hot breakfast, depart Lesotho and enter South Africa via Sani Pass.
Enjoy a lunch stop in the Eastern Cape before re-entering Lesotho through the Qacha’s Nek Border Post.
Overnight: Letloepe Lodge
Day 8: Sehlabathebe Exploration & Quthing Discovery
After a restful night, enjoy a delicious breakfast at Sehlabathebe and explore the stunning scenery throughout the morning.
Continue through remote areas of Lesotho to Quthing, where visits to ancient caves and dinosaur footprints will be arranged. The afternoon includes town exploration and interaction with local villagers.
Dinner and overnight stay at Orange River Hotel.
Day 9: Scenic Return to Malealea
Depart after breakfast and travel across the Orange River (known locally as the Senqu River).
Overnight: Malealea Lodge
Day 10: Departure from Maseru
Departure after breakfast for Maseru Airport.
