Explore More About Maseru:
Maseru is the capital city of Lesotho, a landlocked country surrounded by South Africa. The city lies on the Caledon River.
Traditional crafts are showcased at the cone-shaped Basotho Hat, which serves as both a shop and an information centre.
East of the city lies the Thaba Bosiu plateau, where ruins dating back to the 19th-century reign of King Moshoeshoe can be found. Thaba Bosiu overlooks Mount Qiloane, a distinctive conical mountain that has become one of the national symbols of Lesotho.
