We take off from Maseru- the capital city and go through T.Y., a small town where we can make a stopover and visit the local art markets for a variety of proudly Basotho hand-made craft shopping as well as scenic photos. After craft center hopping, we pass on to Kome caves in the rural of T.Y. The Kome Cave dwellings were built in the 19th century and are still lived in by the original families. The caves have been carefully restored and a visitors’ center has been attached to the site. They have been declared a National heritage site.
Malimong caves can also be visited where Moshoeshoe (founder of Basotho nation)'s grandfather was wildly torn and eaten by the cannibals when they were on their way to Thaba- Bosiu.
