SANI PASS DAY TRIP - MOUNTAIN BIKING

Departure in the morning in 4x4 vehicles to the World Heritage Site of Umkhahlamba Drakensberg Park, following the Mkomazana River up the scenic Sani Valley to the South African Border Post(border formalities). We continue up the Sani Pass, viewing the Hodgsons' Peaks and the Giants Cup.
Climbing to an altitude of 2,874m and zigzagging upwards beneath towering cliffs, buttresses, past waterfalls, and unique flora and birdlife. After having completed the border formalities at the Lesotho Border, we arrive at the Sani Stone Lodge(6km into Lesotho) and the Highest Pub in Africa (2,874m).
We offload the mountain bikes, have lunch at Sani Stone Lodge, and cycle back down the Sani Pass, or for those who are very fit! Do you have a choice of mountain biking up and down?
Enjoy a superb view of the Sani Valley.
We offload the bicycles and enjoy the ride down the legendary Sani Passback.

General Information - Lesotho Overland Tours
Every guest on tour is entering a rural and unspoiled African terrain. Therefore, it is necessary to travel with a flexible and tolerant mind.
Accommodations, bathroom facilities, and meals are in most places very basic, simple, and rustic.
Most lunch stops are based on packed lunches or picnic meals.
There are no toilet facilities on the route or very seldom.
We reserve the right to alter any routes or itineraries should circumstances, like weather, road conditions, unforeseen obstacles, etc., demand.
Some accommodations use generators for the supply of electricity, which switch off at 22:00, and gas geysers for the hot water supply.
